What it is01

What is Nervecept?

Nervecept is a dietary supplement in capsules, sold under the name “Nerve Repair Formula” for nerve comfort and function. The label front carries three claims: “Supports Nerve Sensitivity*”, “Promotes Nerve Function*” and “Strength in Extremities*”.

The asterisk points to the standard FDA statement: the claims were not evaluated, and the product is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease (FDA, Dietary Supplements). A supplement is not a treatment for nerve damage or neuropathy.

The bottle names a distributor, Gex Corporation LLP of Ogden, Utah, and no manufacturer. Mynerveceptofficial, the site you are reading, is a U.S. order-link partner. We did not make the product, and we earn money when you order through our links.

Tap a number to read that part of the bottle.

  1. Suggested use

One capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water, 20 to 30 minutes before a meal, or as directed by your healthcare professional.

  2. Caution

Do not exceed the dose. Pregnant or nursing, under 18, or with a known medical condition: ask a physician first. Keep out of reach of children; do not use if the seal is damaged.

  3. Nervecept, Nerve Repair Formula

The product name and sub-line. 'Repair' is part of the name; the claims on this label are the three 'Supports...' lines below.

  4. Supports Nerve Sensitivity*

A structure/function claim. The asterisk points to the FDA statement: not evaluated, not a treatment.

  5. Promotes Nerve Function* and Strength in Extremities*

Two more asterisked claims. The sales page's 'eliminate nerve pain' wording is not on the label.

  6. Supplement Facts: eight lines

Serving size 1 capsule, 30 per container. Glucosamine 500 mg is the largest line; four lines are 8 mg.

  7. CONTAINS: Shellfish (Crayfish)

Declared allergen. Other ingredients: hypromellose (vegetable capsule) and rice flour.

  8. Distributed by Gex Corporation LLP

    A distributor, not a named manufacturer: PO Box 12730, Ogden, UT 84412, +1 (507) 448-8190.

The sales page and the brief describe the formula differently from the bottle: six ingredients, biotin and a blend. The printed label shows eight ingredients, no biotin and no blend. This site follows the label. See the supplement facts page.

Ingredients02

What ingredients are in Nervecept?

Nervecept's label lists eight ingredients, and every one has its own printed amount. They are glucosamine sulfate 500 mg, Indian frankincense (Boswellia serrata) 67 mg, chondroitin sulfate 50 mg and turmeric root 50 mg, plus quercetin, methionine, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) and bromelain at 8 mg each.

That is 699 mg in all. Glucosamine alone is about 72% of it, and the last four lines together are about 4%. The other ingredients are hypromellose, a plant-based capsule, and rice flour (21 CFR 101.36, Nutrition labeling of dietary supplements).

Most of these are best known as joint-support ingredients, not nerve ingredients. The research we found on them is about knee osteoarthritis, and none of it tested nerve problems.

Amounts03

How much of each ingredient is in a Nervecept capsule?

A Nervecept capsule holds from 8 mg to 500 mg per ingredient, and three lines can be compared with amounts used in research. Boswellia extract was used at up to 1,000 mg a day in trials (NCCIH, Boswellia). A European committee judged up to 500 mg of quercetin dihydrate a day safe for adults for at least three months (VKM, Rutin and Quercetin supplements). One knee trial of MSM used 3,375 mg a day (Debbi et al., MSM for knee osteoarthritis).

Against those, the label's 67 mg, 8 mg and 8 mg are small. For glucosamine, chondroitin, turmeric root, methionine and bromelain, the sources we cite give no research amount, so we make no comparison.

Only amounts that a cited source states are compared. For glucosamine, chondroitin, turmeric, methionine and bromelain, the sources cited here give no research amount.

A bar shows the label amount beside the research amount. It says nothing about whether any amount works for nerves.

How you take it04

How do you take Nervecept capsules?

The label says to take one capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water, 20 to 30 minutes before a meal, or as your healthcare professional directs. A bottle holds 30 capsules, so it lasts 30 days.

The label also says not to exceed the recommended dose, and to ask a physician first if you are pregnant or nursing, under 18, or have a known medical condition.

Before the first capsule, do the four things below. They take ten minutes and matter more than the timing.

  1. 01

    Read the bottle first

Match the label to this site: serving size 1 capsule, 30 servings, eight ingredients, and the line 'CONTAINS: shellfish (crayfish)'. The label wins over any web page.

  2. 02

    Check for shellfish and medicines

If you have a shellfish allergy, stop and ask a doctor. Put the bottle next to your medicine list, especially blood thinners and diabetes medicine.

  3. 03

Take one capsule a day with water

The label says one capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water, 20 to 30 minutes before a meal, or as your healthcare professional directs.

  4. 04

Track your symptoms and see a doctor

Write down where the numbness or tingling is and how it changes. A supplement should not replace a check-up for a new or spreading symptom.

More detail is on the how to take Nervecept page.

Claims vs evidence05

Does Nervecept work for nerve pain?

Nobody knows, because no trial has tested Nervecept itself. The ingredients have been studied one at a time, mostly for knee osteoarthritis, with mixed or small results and no nerve outcomes.

The sales page goes further than the label. It says the product is “clinically proven to eliminate nerve pain, stop tingling, and restore optimal nerve health” and cites no study. The FTC lists cure-all promises as a health-scam red flag (FTC, Common Health Scams).

The nearest rigorous reviews of nerve supplements, vitamin B and alpha-lipoic acid, found little or no clear benefit (Cochrane, Vitamin B for neuropathy) (Cochrane, Alpha-lipoic acid for diabetic neuropathy). The table sets each claim beside what we could check.

  1. Label front“Supports Nerve Sensitivity*”, “Promotes Nerve Function*”, “Strength in Extremities*”Structure/function wording with the FDA statement. None of the eight ingredients has a cited nerve trial, and no trial has tested Nervecept. (FDA, Dietary Supplements) (NCCIH, Glucosamine and Chondroitin)
  2. Label front“Nerve Repair Formula”A name, not a result. No cited source shows these ingredients repair nerves; the nearest rigorous reviews of nerve supplements found little or no benefit. (Cochrane, Vitamin B for neuropathy) (Cochrane, Alpha-lipoic acid for diabetic neuropathy)
  3. Sales page“clinically proven to eliminate nerve pain, stop tingling, and restore optimal nerve health”No study is cited on the page, and the FDA statement on the same page says the product is not intended to treat or cure any disease. The FTC lists cure-all and rapid-result promises as red flags. (nervecept.com sales page) (FTC, Common Health Scams)
  4. Sales pageA 30-minute timer, 'supplies are limited', and 96% of customers said to buy 6 bottlesUrgency and popularity claims are pressure, not evidence, and none of the figures is sourced. A price should not depend on a timer. (nervecept.com sales page) (FTC, Common Health Scams)
  5. Social proofThree 'Verified Purchase' testimonials and star scoresNo independent review profile for Nervecept was found. The FTC bans fake or unrepresentative reviews, and the page itself says testimonials may not reflect the typical buyer. (nervecept.com sales page) (FTC, Final rule banning fake reviews) (FTC, How To Evaluate Online Reviews)
  6. Joint ingredients for nervesGlucosamine, chondroitin, turmeric, boswellia, MSM and bromelain for nerve healthThe cited research on these is about knee osteoarthritis and is mixed to weak. None of the cited sources tested them for nerve problems. (Cochrane, Glucosamine for OA) (Cochrane, Chondroitin for OA) (NCCIH, Turmeric) (NCCIH, Boswellia) (Debbi et al., MSM for knee osteoarthritis)

Claims from the label and the sales page. Health claims need competent and reliable scientific evidence, generally human trials (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance).

Safety check06

Is Nervecept safe to take with your medicines?

Whether Nervecept is safe for you depends on your allergies and medicines. The label says CONTAINS: shellfish (crayfish), so anyone with a shellfish allergy should ask a doctor first.

Glucosamine and chondroitin have been tied to more bleeding in people on warfarin, and turmeric may raise bleeding risk (NCCIH, Glucosamine and Chondroitin) (NCCIH, Turmeric). In some people, glucosamine may raise blood sugar. Quercetin can affect how some drugs are processed (VKM, Rutin and Quercetin supplements).

None of this means you cannot take it. It means a pharmacist should see the bottle first. Answer five quick questions. It is a checklist, not medical advice.

1. Do you have a shellfish allergy, or have you ever reacted to shrimp, crab, lobster or crayfish?
2. Do you take warfarin or another blood thinner, or aspirin or an NSAID every day?
3. Do you have diabetes, take diabetes medicine, or have liver or kidney disease?
4. Are you pregnant or nursing, or under 18, or do you have surgery coming up in the next two weeks?
5. Is the numbness or tingling new, spreading, one-sided, or paired with weakness, trouble speaking, confusion, or loss of bladder or bowel control?

Packs07

How much does Nervecept cost?

Nervecept costs $49 to $79 a bottle, depending on the pack. The sales page offers 2 bottles at $79 each ($158), 3 bottles at $69 each ($207, free U.S. shipping) and 6 bottles at $49 each ($294, free U.S. shipping) (nervecept.com sales page).

A bottle lasts 30 days, so the packs work out to about $2.63, $2.30 and $1.63 a day (our arithmetic). The sales page also shows higher “regular” prices. We do not repeat them, because a crossed-out price is not what anyone pays.

Shipping on 2 bottles is shown at checkout. Check the total, the shipping and the refund terms before you pay, and take a screenshot.

Trust check08

Is Nervecept legit?

Part of it checks out and part could not be verified, so go in with your eyes open. A sales page and a press release exist, the bottle lists eight ingredients with amounts, and a distributor is printed on the label.

Against that, the sales page names no company, its legal pages sit on a separate host, one FAQ answer names a different product by mistake, and its headline claim has no study behind it. A countdown timer and “supplies are limited” add pressure (nervecept.com sales page) (Sales site legal pages).

We found no independent review page for Nervecept. We show no star score, no review count and no customer quotes, because none was verified. The full fact check is on the is Nervecept legit page.
